Call of Duty 9: Black Ops 2 came out today at 12:01 AM in North America. It is already the best-selling game of all time.
In other news, Valve has changed their game submission process for Steam so that all games can only be submitted using their Steam Greenlight model. This officially makes the number of big publishers that pretend to care about indie developers to a grand total of: zero.
After leaving the doomed train wreck that was G4TV (which recently cancelled X-Play and Attack of the Show), long-time gaming TV host and cranky bald guy Adam Sessler joined internet-based TV channel Revision3 as “Executive Producer of Game Content”. No news yet if Meet the Sess will get picked up:
The gaming press is still rambling about the Wii U, which comes out this Sunday (Did you know that? No? Get in line.), writing countless articles about how “it’s so cool that you can use the Wii U without a TV” to how “it could be the perfect console for me”. Geez, it’s as if they thought it was a next-gen system or something….
The Vita is finally getting Playstation Plus support, giving away their most worthwhile games for free if you have a subscription to the $50 a year service. The games included are Uncharted, Wipeout, Gravity Rush, Jet Set Radio, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Blobs Attack. Is the Vita saved yet?
