REPORT: Reggie Lies to CNN, claims Wii U games has better graphics than 360/PS3

“The specs are quite different than our competitor’s systems, much more graphically intensive. If you do a side by side comparison, [...] third party games like Call of Duty look dramatically better on our system.”

Reggie went on CNN International to talk about the Wii U, but he did not expect CNN to actually ask questions that gamers would actually like to know the answer to. When asked about how the Wii U’s specs are quite similar to the six-year old competitors, Reggie gave a very peculiar answer, in that it was completely false.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 actually has performance issues on the Wii U compared to the 360 and PS3, failing to hit a consistent 60 frames per second. Lower performance is a common problem with third-party ports on the Wii U, not in small part to the Wii U’s slow RAM speed and a “horrible, slow” CPU according to a Metro: Last Light developer.

This follows another comment Reggie made about Batman: Arkham City for the Wii U, which he claimed it was “not the same game, not the same content”, despite the game ending up being the exact contrary.
